Torum-Maa Ethnographic Museum
Discover the life of ancient inhabitants of the West Siberian Plain. The open air museum exhibits traditional buildings of Khanty herding camp, Winter settlement of northern Mansi, Ob-Ugric peoples' sanctuary, and wooden aniconic idols, objects of worship, made by G.S.Rayshev, a famous Khanty artist.
Arts and Crafts Center
Learn about culture and traditional crafts of northern peoples. Unique gifts, souvenirs and ethnic Khanty handicrafts are sold. A vast array of birch bark, wooden and natural fur crafts, ivory carvings, and handmade beadworks are available to commemorate your trip to Ugra. Moreover, the Center's exhibitions are constantly renewed with crafts from the various regions of Russia.
The Igoshev Museum
Khanty artist, known for his distinctive style, conjures up the beauty of Siberian land on canvas, its history and culture, remarkable aspects of human nature, helping us to understand better Ob-Ugric peoples' life philosophy. Igoshev combines Impressionism and Realism in his style.
More than 250 of his paintings are in the collection of the most major museums of Russia and the post-soviet states, including the State Russian Museum and the State Tretyakov Gallery. Large numbers of his paintings have found their way into the galleries of the world's public museums and private collections. Over 200 masterpieces of the artist are currently in Japan.
